Robert Plumb was conceived by William Dangar in 2006. At the time Dangar was working as the contributing garden editor for Belle Magazine for the then editor Eric Matthews. Part of Dangar’s role was to produce a page in every issue dedicated to outdoor elements for the home. After deciding to focus on the humble letterbox it was then that Dangar realised that there were no high quality architecturally designed products on the market that were mass produced. He set about designing a few simple prototypes that were featured in the article and Robert Plumb was born.
